Built on one
founder's vision.
In 1960, Natvarlal Umedram Kachiwala started Lami in Surat with a single conviction: that decorative trims should be designed and made to a standard the world would notice. What began as a humble weaving operation grew, generation by generation, into one of India's most respected trim manufacturers.
"Trims are not secondary details — they shape how a product is seen, felt, and remembered."
Today, Lami is led by the third generation of the founding family. The business has scaled significantly, but the founding principle remains unchanged: design-led quality, built for lasting partnerships. We don't chase volume for its own sake. We build relationships with buyers who value precision, reliability, and a supplier that thinks like a design partner.
Our facility in Surat houses advanced looms, embroidery machines, braiding equipment, and a dedicated prototyping centre — enabling a complete trim development cycle under one roof, from concept to delivery.
